Mental Health Walk-a-Thon
Held Annually in May
The Mental Health Walk-a-Thon is an annual event held each May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. This inspiring event brings together individuals, families, organizations, and community groups to walk in solidarity, promoting mental health awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Participants form teams and walk together to show support for those affected by mental health challenges while fostering a sense of unity and encouragement. The Walk-a-Thon serves as a powerful reminder that mental well-being is essential for everyone and that communities thrive when they come together to support one another.

Beyond raising awareness, the event also helps generate funds for mental health programs, advocacy efforts, and support services that provide resources for individuals and families in need. Suicide Prevention Amazing Race
Held Annually in September
The Suicide Prevention Amazing Race is an annual event held each September in recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This engaging and impactful event brings together individuals, families, and organizations to raise awareness, foster open conversations, and promote hope for those affected by suicide.

Participants form teams and navigate through a series of interactive challenges designed to educate, inspire, and encourage mental well-being. Each activity highlights important aspects of suicide prevention, including recognizing warning signs, building resilience, and connecting individuals with life-saving resources.
The Amazing Race is more than just a competition—it’s a community-driven movement to break the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide. Funds raised through the event support therapy grants, increasing provider availability, and educational initiatives that empower individuals and families. Whether racing in honor of a loved one, advocating for change, or simply showing support, every step taken brings us closer to a world where no one feels alone in their struggles.


Black & White Gala
Held Annually December 31st
The Black and White Gala is an annual event held on December 31st, bringing together community members, leaders, and advocates for an elegant evening of celebration and impact. This prestigious event serves as both a year-end celebration and a powerful fundraiser, supporting vital initiatives that promote mental health, wellness, and community enrichment.

Guests arrive dressed in classic black and white attire, symbolizing unity and balance, as they enjoy an evening filled with fine dining, live entertainment, and inspiring presentations. The Gala highlights the efforts of organizations making a difference, including the Mental Health Advancement Foundation, House of Mary, TwoC9, and Making Sports Possible, showcasing the incredible work being done to uplift and support individuals and families in Livingston, Texas, and beyond.

Beyond the glamour, the Black and White Gala serves as a call to action—raising funds and awareness for programs that provide essential resources, advocacy, and support services.
